Naka Mitra
Resources for the informal economy
Naka Mitra is a digital tool to help informal daily wage workers document their work, understand their rights, and resolve wage disputes—developed with labour organizations and researchers.
We provide workers with a WhatsApp chat interface that allows them to record their daily work history. The work histories allow them to register cases if disputes happen, and petition for access to government schemes.
Naka Mitra is currently being piloted in Mumbai, India.
